NexWave Privacy Policy

NexWave is a local push-to-talk app. Your voice travels only over your own Wi-Fi, your channels stay on your device, and NextEra.One does not collect them on a server.

Local push-to-talk

NexWave carries voice over your own Wi-Fi; channels and settings stay local.

No ads or sale

NexWave ships no advertising or analytics SDKs and sells no voice or contact data.

Nothing uploaded

NexWave never uploads your voice or who you talk to.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the NexWave Android app and the public NexWave product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for Google Play review and for people using the app.

NexWave does not require a NextEra.One account. If that changes, this policy will be updated before account features are released.

2. Data NexWave accesses or stores on your device

NexWave accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

Data type Purpose Where it is stored
Microphone audio Capture your voice while you hold the push-to-talk button. Streamed over your local Wi-Fi to peers on the channel; never uploaded to a server or recorded to disk.
Channels and display name Join the right channel and let nearby peers see who you are. Local app storage on your device.
Nearby peers on the LAN Discover devices on the same channel and same Wi-Fi. Held in memory while the app runs; not stored or uploaded.
App settings Remember display name, haptics, language and theme. Local app storage on your device.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One

NextEra.One does not operate an account service, analytics backend, advertising backend or sync backend for NexWave. NexWave does not upload your voice or your channels to NextEra.One.

The public website may receive ordinary web server request information from visitors, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, through the hosting provider used to publish these static pages. The app itself does not send your data to that website.

4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers

NexWave does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data can leave your device in these user-initiated cases:

  • Your voice leaves your device only as live push-to-talk audio sent to peers on your own Wi-Fi while you hold the button — it is not stored or relayed through a server.
  • If you install or open the app through Google Play, Google processes Play Store data under Google's policies.

5. Permissions

NexWave asks for Android permissions only when needed for its features.

  • Microphone: capture your voice while you hold push-to-talk (requested the first time you transmit)
  • Nearby Wi-Fi / local network: discover peers and send voice on your local network
  • Foreground service (microphone): keep talking while the app is in the background
  • Notifications: show the active-channel status you choose to receive
  • Storage: keep your channels and settings in the app's own local store

6. Retention and deletion

  • Your channels and display name remain in NexWave's local store until you delete them or clear everything.
  • Local settings remain on device until you change them or uninstall the app.
  • Live voice is never written to disk; once a transmission ends, the audio is gone. NextEra.One cannot recover local data because it is not synced to a NextEra.One server.
  • You can also use Android Settings > Apps > NexWave > Storage > Clear storage to remove local app data.

7. Security

NexWave relies on Android runtime permissions, Android app sandboxing and local device storage. Because NexWave does not run a cloud or relay service, there is no NextEra.One server copy of your voice or your channels. Voice on the local network is not encrypted, so treat it like a normal walkie-talkie on a trusted Wi-Fi. Anything you choose to share into other apps is governed by those providers' practices.

8. Children

NexWave is not directed to children. It is a general-purpose tool intended for users who are allowed to manage their own content on their Android device.

9. Changes and contact

NextEra.One may update this policy when NexWave changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
